Watch Focus, October 18, 2024: Tabernacling Among Us
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. John 1:14
This week we enter the Feast of Tabernacles, the prophetic celebration of the future final ingathering into the New Jerusalem at the end of the age. It’s called “the season of our joy!” All around us, we see crises and threats at many levels, in every land including our own. We pause to draw into Jesus, our tabernacle of safety and supply, and choose the word of Habbakuk: “Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” (3:17-18)
During this season, we especially pray for our neighbors across the southeast and here in North Carolina suffering catastrophic devastation from dual hurricanes.
We lift a voice of thanksgiving to the Captain of Armies for the news the master mind of the October 7 massacre, Hama terrorist Yahya Sinwar has been eliminated.
We add our Watch Prayers to every prayer that God has, is, and will answer for the destiny of America. We are in America for such a time as this. It’s time to call on the name of the Lord! We lay hold of Acts 17:26-27 “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”
For the upcoming election on November 5th for every office up for election we lay hold of Daniel 2:21-22: “And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.” We proclaim 2 Thessalonians 3:1 “that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified.”
SHELTER YOUR PEOPLE ISRAEL AND COME, LORD, AND HEAL OUR LAND!
Revelation 22:2, “In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Psalm 122:7-8, “Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
Joel 2:25-26, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.”
Isaiah 33:22, “For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us.”
Jeremiah 6:16, “Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”
Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.”
1 Timothy 2:1-4, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
