Watch Focus November 28th, 2025: Thanksgiving and Healing For Our Nation!
 
This Thanksgiving week we gather around…..

Psalm 100,

“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”

We remember Nehemiah 8:10, “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

We have seen many challenges and headwinds in America especially since the Covid season. We pray specifically for America to receive healing and restoration. As we head toward our 250th birthday as a Nation we lay hold of Revelation 22:2, “In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”

We mourn for the two DC National Guard officers shot this week, Sarah Beckstrom, 20, who has now passed away and Andrew Wolfe, 24, who is in critical condition. We pray for Andrew’s recovery and comfort for their families. We pray without ceasing for our nation’s covering and protection.

We pray two specific scriptures would be real for us as a Nation, Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.”

May there be a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit according to Joel 2:28-29,

“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”
