Arise, O Lord, Our Refuge in Times of Trouble

Drought Be Broken, Storm Be Calm

We agree together in asking that the drought in the Western U.S. be broken and that the storms feared in the east do not cause harm or flooding. May the flood waters subside.

With farmers struggling and prices are rising for food and fuel, let us turn our hearts to our heavenly Father to ask for mercy for our nation. Break the yoke of drought and poverty. Restore our land. We ask for forgiveness for sinfulness and unrighteousness, unbelief, arrogance, and rebellion. God, show Your divine intervention for America.

Psalm 9:9-10, “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”

Psalm 60:1b,2, "Oh, restore us again! You have made the earth tremble; You have broken it; Heal its breaches, for it is shaking"

Mark 4:39, “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.”

Psalm 65:9-11, “You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it. You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth. You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.”

Take Sickness Away From Our Midst

Protect Your people, Lord Jesus, from lack and sickness. We rebuke the plans of the devil that have caused harm and destruction this past year. Put a hedge of protection around Your people, oh Lord. Send Your spirit among us to heal and restore in a new move of miracles.

Exodus 23:25, “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”

Joel 2:23-25, “Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God; for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you—the former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.  The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust,”

Deliver Us from Evil

Pray for mercy and not judgment for our nation for the sake of the saints. May the enemies of God and of His people be caught in their own snares. Deliver us, Lord, from evil. Release Your angel armies to minister to and do battle for Your church.

We rebuke the enemies of the Lord. Lord, defend Your people. May the traps of the wicked be turned on themselves and ensnare them and destroy them.

Break the stronghold of God-hate and witchcraft over the U.S. media that works toward dismantling our Judeo-Christian foundations, maligning and weakening the U.S., demoralizing the church and confusing and polluting the next generation.

Psalm 9:12b-14a, 15, “He does not forget the cry of the humble. Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death, That I may tell of all Your praise. The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught.”

Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Psalm 9
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
When my enemies turn back,
They shall fall and perish at Your presence.
For You have maintained my right and my cause;
You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.
You have rebuked the nations,
You have destroyed the wicked;
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
O enemy, destructions are finished forever!
And you have destroyed cities;
Even their memory has perished.
But the Lord shall endure forever;
He has prepared His throne for judgment.
He shall judge the world in righteousness,
And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion!
Declare His deeds among the people.
When He avenges blood, He remembers them;
He does not forget the cry of the humble.
Have mercy on me, O Lord!
Consider my trouble from those who hate me,
You who lift me up from the gates of death,
That I may tell of all Your praise
In the gates of the daughter of Zion.
I will rejoice in Your salvation.
The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made;
In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught.
The Lord is known by the judgment He executes;
The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.
Meditation. Selah
The wicked shall be turned into hell,
And all the nations that forget God.
For the needy shall not always be forgotten;
The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.
Arise, O Lord,
Do not let man prevail;
Let the nations be judged in Your sight.
Put them in fear, O Lord,
That the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah
