D-Day Anniversary
Sunday, June 6th, is the seventy-seventh anniversary of the D-Day landing, where Allied forces invaded German-occupied France on the beaches of Normandy in 1944. If you walk those beaches, you will see burial grounds of young Americans. We want to honor their memory. We salute them, remember these brave soldiers, and bless them in Jesus’ Name. We visited that area many years ago and walked through the burial grounds of hundreds and hundreds of eighteen to twenty-one year olds who gave their lives so others would be free.
On this the seventy-seventh anniversary of D-Day, we remember all the young men who died for liberty and justice on the beaches of Normandy. We owe much to those who fought to preserve the precious freedoms we all enjoy. Continue to cover in prayer all of our armed forces presently serving. May the Lord of Hosts guard those in harm’s way.
We pray that our government will be delivered from any evil influences that would allow corruption or wickedness to steer our nation away from God’s will. We ask, Holy Spirit, bring revival for our land. Turn the hearts of our leaders and our people to Jesus.
2 Samuel 22:3-4, “The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 32:7, “You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.”
John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”

Our theme for 2024 from the Watch is RETURN in 5 main aspects of life: RETURN to the Lord; to “first love” devotion to Jesus; to the foundations of faith; to the church local; and to prayer—emphasizing public corporate prayer. |

Our watch focus this week is securing our national borders and putting rightfully elected righteous leaders in office.
